Outreach takes many forms at Wallsend Baptist Church.
- We run Computer Courses
- We are involved in a project in Fiji.
- We are involved in supporting many Missionary Agencies.
Wycliffe Australia Australian Society for Indigenous Languages
We take our responsibilities seriously when it comes to supporting Missionary work, both locally and internationally. We believe that it is a vital part of our mission in life, both as individuals and as a church body. The load is heavy and the workers are few.
David and Ming-Fang Strickland
David, Ming-Fang and son Enoch are located in the Northern Territory town of Ti Tree translating the Bible into the Anmatyerr language.
Their work takes them into some of the more remote communities in Central Australia as they carefully translate each book of the New Testament to ensure the original meaning is conveyed accurately into the Anmatyerr’s language.
They are planning to publish a Mini-Bible containing a selection of Genesis and several New Testament books in the near future.

International Teams

Here in our nation, displaced people arrive every year and with each arrival comes the opportunity for us to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ. We have a chance to help halt this cycle of hopelessness
God values and has great purpose for each life. The hope of the SRT is to see Christians right across the nation helping many to step into a relationship with Jesus Christ, giving them hope for the future.
The SRT works to welcome, equip and intergrate forcefully displaced people arriving in Australia, by empowering them towards a bright and sustainable future. Our heart is to demonstrate unconditional love, compassionate justice and total acceptance to each individual.
Marion spends most of her time building relationships with women from Middle Eastern backgrounds but is also involved in the wider work of the team amongst african communities and with events such as the inaugural
Ride for Refugees last October.
